Reserve Appointment Time Slots

Time slots can be reserved from the appointment grid on a per-location basis to prevent appointments from being booked at those times.

Time slots can be reserved in the following ways:

  • for a single time slot
  • for the current date and a time range
  • for a range of dates and a time range

Reserving a single time slot

To reserve a single time slot:

  • navigate to the appointment grid
  • locate the time slot in the column you would like to reserve
  • click on the - (minus sign) in the time slot

Reserving time slots for the current date

To reserve time slots for the current date:

  • navigate to the appointment grid
  • if your practice has multiple locations, ensure you have the correct location selected
  • click on the Reserve time slots button in the top right of the page
  • click on Reserve for today to expand the form
  • make your selections - time slots can be reserved for a specific column, or for all columns on the day
  • click Reserve time slots

An email will be sent once the time slots are reserved.

Reserving time slots for a date range

Time slots can also be reserved over a range of dates for a given location.

You will receive an email with a summary of the reservations, indicating for each time slot one of the following:

  • navigate to the appointment grid
  • if your practice has multiple locations, ensure you have the correct location selected
  • click on the Reserve time slots button in the top right of the page
  • click on Reserve by date range to expand the form
  • make your selections - time slots can be reserved for a specific column, or for all columns on the day
  • click Reserve time slots

An email will be sent once the time slots are reserved.

Reserved time slot emails

When time slots are reserved for the current date, or for a date range, an email will be sent to the user who is reserving the time slots with a summary of the reservations.

Each time slot will have one of the following outcomes:

  • the time slot was successfully reserved
  • the time slot has already been reserved
  • the time slot couldn’t be reserved because it contains a patient appointment
